Bound as a botanist’s notebook, posing as field guide, Eleven Fragments is a series of specimens which, in their extracted solitude, nonetheless provide radiant vestiges of a larger cycle. Dense, yet equally sparse; intensely lyrical, yet dissonant; visually arrayed, yet entirely conscious of their announcement; these poems exist both in the field and on the page, an exercise in dialectics.
