Psalm 149

Every void has its entourage. Florid-

a’s an oracle with its sinkholes and

massage parlors. Smartphones dumb

down the ether. Rather, isn’t all emptiness

a mirage? Everywhere the mouth speaks

holy-holy. Even here, in the cancerous

prostate, in the tumorous cysts. Hear

the fisting of a lubed pornstar. Fallout drifts

like his scalp’s dander. Quasars budding

at the furthest edge and red-

shifting are the universe coming out and out forever.
