Laura Grothaus is a writer and artist living in Baltimore, the territory of the Susquehannock and Piscataway-Conoy. Interested in the politics of magic and memory, she’s at work on a speculative novel about the future of labor movements and a short film about a Slovak fairytale. Her work has been featured by or is forthcoming in American Short Fiction, Ninth Letter, Poetry Northwest, 32 Poems, The Cincinnati Review, BUST, Strange Horizons, and Fairytale Review.
